  2. Browns don't like the Peppers pick, but they got 3 players (Garrett; Njioku; Peppers) who are athletic. Njioku is right up there with OJ Howard. Trade down made sense and still worked out all right. Peppers is interesting: he can return kicks...and the Browns MIGHT have him play RB. They have 12 picks in 2018, 2 1st round picks, 3 2nd round picks, 2 3rds. If they DON'T stupidly trade for Cousins, they're in great position to get a QB (Darnold/Rosen) even if they don't get the #1 or #2. They have the assets to make a move/cash in. If not, they can replace Joe Thomas with Texas' LT possibly. Titans I liked Corey Davis best at WR, but still surprised to see him go #5. They had a chance to get OJ Howard but went for Adoree Jackson instead to beef up their secondary. I like both. Turns out if they traded down further than 9, they might not be able to get a top 3 WR. Bucs offense Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, OJ Howard=yikes Gareon COnley=Raiders LOL. I expected them to be the most likely team to take Joe Mixon in the 1st t be their long-term answer at RB. We'll see if he gets cleared by the police. But CB was a big need. Denver tried trading up to get McCaffrey, but too rich...also inquired about Joe Thomas (imagined they were targeting #12) Joe Thomas should retire. Says he's already experiencing memory loss. Bummer. I can't see Cleveland turning things around too fast for him to keep playing for a non-playoff team. Bears trading up 1 spot to take Trubisky So fucking dumb. I can't imagine any team was contending to move up to that spot AND to take Trubisky. Glad I'm not a Bears fan. But I enjoyed the pick because, you know, fuck Phil. DeShaun Watson DeAndre Hopkins gets a Clemson guy, Bill O'Brien's job is officially on the line now that they've finally picked out a QB that he wants (never met with Brock Osweiler) 49ers win the 1st round I like what the 49ers did in the 1st (Solomon Thomas; Reuben Foster). Foster, before his awful draft ride, was mocked to go #2 to the 49ers. So great value there if his head is on right. Team gets Willis replacement and a Bowman comp dude (Foster) and a Michael Bennett dude (Solomon Thomas) who replaces what they lost in Justin Smith potentially. I mocked the 49ers to trade out unless Myles Garrett fell. There was no clear #2 guy in the draft, so let another dumb team panic and send out fake news about the Browns wanting Trubisky. It worked. Also: Saints lose BIG by not getting Foster to repair their D. The offensive lineman in this draft are worse than I thought considering Cam Robinson didn't get picked, Ramzyk went 32. Chiefs pick a QB to replace Alex Smith Alex Smith is nowhere near good enough and holding the Chiefs back. Still, I don't know if Mahomes is the answer. We'll see how Andy Reid develops Mahomes and caters to him. Favorite pick of the 1st: Colts getting Hooker at 15 Imagine he fell because of offseason surgery/not really working out. OTHER -3 QB's by 12 (#2, #10, #12) -3 WR's in the top 10 (#5, #7, #10) -2 RB's in the top 10 (#4, #8) AFC East rivals of Pats: went all defense DE-Charles Harris (Dolphins)-big spin-move dude. CB-T. White (Bills)-best slot CB. Response to Pats' WR's S-Jamal Adams (Jets)-like this pick for them Top of the 2nd Round QB-DeShone Kizer RB-Dalvin Cook; Joe Mixon OL-Forrest Lamp DE-Jordan Willis LB-Tyus Bowser CB-Chidobe Awuzie S-Obi Melifonwu; Budda Baker Pats: likely targets if they trade up DE-Tarell Basham (Ohio); Jordan Willis (Kansas State) LB-Tyus Bowser (Houston); Zach Cunningham (Vanderbilt) CB-Chidobe Awuzi (Colorado) S-Marcus Maye (Florida); Budda Baker (Washington); Obi Melifonwu (UConn); Josh Jones (NC State) If they stay put at 72 TE-Jake Butt; George Kittle DL-Dalvin Tomlinson; Montravius Adams DE-Troy Hendrickson; Carl Lawson; Ryan Anderson; Daeshon Hall LB-Raekown McMillan CB-Teez Tabor; Sidney Jones; Desmond King
  3. Lol bears. I don't think that decision is made unless the bears gm and coach know their jobs are tied to picking a QB within 2 to 3 years. And that was never Glennon or Cutler...Texans gave up a lot to get Watson but they might be a QB away.
  4. Hey DK, if Trubisky sucks in 5 years I get to fuck all your ex''s in the ass. K? K The trade up was dumb. I assume someone else offered the 9ers something. I cant imagine otherwise just giving away those picks. Ugh. He better not suck

  6. My hunches for day 1 -Browns pick Myles Garrett-if they don't, they are fucking dumb. I think it's all just smoke though). I love the idea of the Browns getting Garrett and OJ Howard. Maybe just wait another year for a QB, but they won't do that. They have SO much draft assets that they should give up some draft picks to move up if there's a guy they dig. I think Howard goes in the top 10 though. And the Jets should take him. I will laugh hard if Trubisky is picked #1. But I can't see that happening. -Where the QB's go-Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes all go in the top 15. Kizer falls into the 2nd round, not sure where Davis Webb falls.... I don't like Trubisky at all...Texans say they want Mahomes but that doesn't make much sense to show your hand...interesting to see if the Saints, Cardinals, Jets target a QB. Steelers/Chiefs/Texans are teams that would have to trade up but it's too far up to do so. -49ers pick Malik Hooker over Jamal Adams after they are unable to trade down -Solomon Thomas makes sense too. John Lynch is a safety and he went to Stanford. -Titans trade down from #5 (think they should target Hooker over Lattimore if he's there). I think Browns trade up to #5. -McCaffrey goes top 10 I've heard Fournette goes before McCaffrey...and I can easily see Fournette in a Panthers uniform. But McCaffrey seems like a better fit. Even makes more sense than John Ross as a WR because of his versatility and no hamstring injury concerns (I can see the Cardinals targeting John Ross if they don't love a QB). And he's more versatile than Fournette. Panthers should draft a RB unless someone falls. Cam Newton's coming off surgery, their RB's are older. They need someone to take the load off Newton. -Gareon Conley will fall -I don't know what happened. -Adoree Jackson is a 1st round pick -possibly Tyus Bowser/Jordan Willis too. Evan Engram and Budda Baker could be there at the end. I think their games translate to the NFL real well. -Joe Mixon slips into the end of the 1st round - -Reuben Foster still goes pretty high even after all the bullshit -can see the Colts getting him at 15. But Hassaan Reddick goes before him. -I can't see the Pats being able to get in the 1st or 2nd round (Butler would be the trade)-if they do? Adoree Jackson seems obvious for his athleticism/versatility. Obi Melifonwu seems likely. Hassan Reddick is logical for positional need, but he's too high. -Broncos/Falcons try to trade up -they need OL. I could see the Broncos targeting a TE if they love one that falls within range. I doubt OJ falls though.

TNT was making shopping the playoff teams into classic rap albums. Of course they left out the Jazz, so I had to make one.
  9. DNA is the hardest fucking track. Love it. Fear is great, one of my favorite Kendrick songs. I love the chorus, "If I could smoke fear away, I'd roll that mothafucka up, And then I'd take two puffs." The U2 feature was unexpected as hell, weird song but I dig it. Favorite lyric on the album is t
  10. The only reason I ever still come here is for music, comedy, and podcast recommendations. Some of you have great taste! Here's one for anyone who still visits here. Really solid jazz-influenced electronic pop.
  11. ^haha yeah, I saw that and thought 'well, the Texans are fucked' but UNC just won it all, so he doesn't care. Thank God Phil Simms is gone. Glad they replaced HEEEM. I feel like a number of teams were waiting for Romo...so we'll see what happens with Cutler/Kaepernick now. Ravens traded Timmy Jernigan and a 3rd (99th overall) to the Eagles (74th overall) year before his contract was up. They paid Brandon Williams and had other guys paid up, so they couldn't afford him. Yeah, bad trade by the Ravnes. They were going to get a comp pick for him anyway. Eagles' D should be awesome (Jim Schwarz is the coordinator now)
  12. Is DK short for Doooooon't Kaaaaaaaaaaaaare? $5 says you sign the Cutlet now that Tony Rome is Phil Simms

  14. After re-designing my own scalesona, my husband asked me to draw him up an updated reference sheet for him too! Matchy Matchy I have a hard time taking reference sheets seriously, but I think that's purdy fitting for both myself and my hubsfart. Enjoy!

  17. ^'Mad Max definitely one of the best and craziest movie going experiences and popcorn movies of all time. It's just one straight up action chase movie and crazy world building. So yeah, it is. If you missed seeing it on a big screen in a packed crowd, you missed out. It's not some garbage movie like '300'. I really wished I saw 'Get Out' opening weekend. Girl I usually see movies with doesn't like horror movies, but I figured she might be more incined to want to see it because she's black, but that didn't work either. Maybe the success of it will make her want to watch it. Would have loved to have seen that with a black audience...and then with a white audience. But yeah, I saw 'Mad Max' with her and the whole time we were both laughing and saying, "WHAT THE FUCK!?!" out loud. Difference was, she hated it and I loved it. I've heard nothing but great things about some movies I added to the top 2 lists via Sundance/advanced screenings/early buzz or just directors I like that are worth looking into, 'Power Rangers' 'Lego Batman', 'Lost City of Z' (love David Grann), John Wick 2, etc. the trailer for 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Montana' looks like it's going to be the best movie of the year. Already was high up there since I love Martin McDonagh, but holy fucking shit.
  18. Get Out is fantastic. Also, Mad Max remake is one of the best movies ever? Hahahha.
  19. the water is poison and i say come on and give me my poison its so comforting to know i'll never have to think again

  21. ^oh yeah...forgot to mention Lombardi trashed Trubisky and said Watson is the better QB. Made a good case why Trubisky is a risky pick (whenever I do mock drafts, I kind of always leave out QB's, one position I don't have a read on unless there's Andrew Luck) Basically... -Trubisky is #1 recruit and could have gone to Ohio State. He ends up at a generally non-competitive program that doesn't play elite competition that Watson did (compared Watson to Cam Newton stat wise where it's not always pretty)...and the big question is why he wasn't starting immediately because a school like that would go out of their way to promote a #1 prized recruit. It takes him until his 3rd year to really become the starter. So why is that? I don't know what to make of Watson. I thought Manziel had a chance to be good because of how good he did agianst elite competition: the big red flag was that ESPN article that came out that made him sound weird. I didn't think he'd be a full-blown alcoholic and that he would cut it off. And then he had a big target on his back day one. Pretty unreal. Watson has his head on straight. Also, Watson is bigger than he looks (6'3'' 220) compared to Manziel (6'0'' 209) I'd generally agree though; I'd take Watson over Trubisky, but it's such a loaded fucking draft for talent that I think it's dumb to draft a QB in the first 10 picks. I don't think any guy is ready to play Day 1. And, again, the 2018 QB draft class looks better (Darnold, Rosen, Jackson, etc) Interesting thing will be to see how many QB's go in the 1st round (Trubisky/Watson, Mahomes, Kizer, Webb)...Webb was a guy I never heard of and now he's saying some teams view him as a 1st rounder. #1-Browns-Myles Garrett #2-49ers-Solomon Thomas (Jonathan Allen falls because of durability concerns; I also LOVE Jamal Adams/Malik Hooker)-I pick a Stanford guy like John Lynch. I can also see Lynch picking a safety too. Hard to tell. #3-Bears-Jamal Adams #4-Jags-Leonard Fournette-they're loaded on D. They could add Thomas if he falls but I'd go all offense in this draft and just prepare to get a new QB in 2018. Romo going to Denver/Houston would be great, but Jags are a sleeper team. There isn't a good enough Offensive Tackle in this draft to warrant picking here. Trading down and getting a TE would be solid too, but they could wait for the 2nd round. #5-Titans-Malik Hooker. Their D sucks and I'd look upgrade the secondary. Adams or Hooker would be best player available. (I love the Titans trading up from 18 to grab Corey Davis, but they could select him here. If they fall in love with Davis, they could pick him here) #6-Jets-DeShaun Watson- picking OJ Howard could be a surprise. They just look like a mess all over. Sheldon Richardson gets moved eventually. Reports of Muhammad Wilkerson being out of shape. I just think they make a play for a QB given how underwhelming their response was to getting a QB. They need to get young all over. #7-Chargers-Jonathan Allen-he falls . If Hooker/Adams falls, I'd LOVE that as an overdue Weddle replacement. #8-Panthers -Cam Newton is getting surgery, so they're fucked. If Fournette falls, they HAVE to pick him to help take the load off. Otherwise, pick a CB. OJ Howard wouldn't be bad either as a blocker and young weapon to pair alongside Greg Olsen. #9-Bengals-Hassan Reddick -yeah, take him over Reuben Foster. #10-Bills-OJ Howard -get a TE or upgrade at WR. #11-Saints-Derek Barnett -trade for Butler at 32 would negate them adding a CB. They should go all D with this draft. Reuben Foster wouldn't be bad. #12-Browns- try trading for Jimmy G. If not, maybe Watson. Or just wait for 2018, flip your assets into 2018 draft so you can move up for Darnold/Rosen/Jackson. Either way, I see them getting a QB this year and possibly moving up to do so for Trubisky/Watson. Joe Thomas will demand it and deserves it. ------------------------ Teams looking at QB's in the 1st or 2nd in the next 2 years.... 49ers, Browns, Bears, Jags, Jets, Bengals, Bills, Saints, Browns, Washington, Broncos, Texans, Miami, Giants, Chiefs, Steelers Pats could also be a surprise if they move Jimmy. Chargers are another (Rivers will be 36 in December) So, yeah, 5 QB's in the 1st or early 2nd seems like a lot. But lot of teams need QB's. I like it if that happens because then guys fall...but Pats dont have any picks until #72 unless that changes. Favorite targets on the Pats board 1st round #11 (if Jimmy is traded): Defense-LB-Hassan Reddick, CB-Gareon Conley, DE-Taco Charlton (probably in that order) 1st round #11: Offense -TE-OJ Howard: I think Howard might go earlier unless there is a run on QB's. safeties guys love (Hooker, Adams) should be gone...ditto for Solomon Thomas Others LOVE Corey Davis at WR (I'm more of a John Ross fan, but Brandin Cooks addition) #32 (if they get Malcolm Butler)-a cornerback obviously. Fabian Moreau is well-liked, Gareon Conley will go sooner than people like. EARLY 2nd ROUND targets Jordan Willis, TJ Watt, Tyus Bowser LATE 2nd ROUND/EARLY 3rd DE-Tarell Basham CB-Chidoba Awuzie (any Colorado secondary dude looks ice) OTHER Lot of Pats fans think it would be a loss in the draft to lose Jimmy or Butler. Team is basically set, just needs to build depth. Jimmy looks like he could be the best chance at being Brady's successor, Jacoby Brissett or whomever might not be it. NFL Competition committee proposed changes might allow Pats to wear Pat the Patriot uniforms again! http://nesn.com/2017/03/nfl-meeting-proposal-would-allow-patriots-to-wear-pat-patriot-uniforms-again/ -eliminate color rush -teams would be allowed to wear throwbacks -eliminate jumping over the long-snapper (NFLPA is backing this) -expands hits to crown of helmet to hairline of helmet -if a FG kicker on the kickoff drills the ball through the uprights, the ball gets placed at the 20-yard line rather than the 25 -commit 2 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, you're ejected -regular season OT would be cut to 10 minutes in preseason & regular season (don't like this since regular season ties are bullshit...I would eliminate OT in preseason though) -a receiver running a pass route would get defenseless player protection -crackback block protection to defensive players -Chip Kelly/Ravens rule: can't do shit to eliminate playing time (grabbing players or committing multiple penalties on same on play to manipulate the clock) -player with a concussion would be placed on club's exempt list and replaced on game-by-game basis with practice squad player Also, NFL is looking to speed up games (on kickoffs, they wouldn't cut to commercial: teams would play on like they do on the opening kickoff)..obviously, this would be great. ---------------- I'm for most the changes...but the jumping over the long snapper on field goal attempts is awesome. I get it though. Any time a player leaps, it's dangerous if that player lands funny or on their head. Field goal kickers being rewarded for kicking it through the goal posts on kickoffs would help out Justin Tucker/Gostkowski. Pats, however, did an AWESOME job of pinning teams inside the 15-yard line o Gostkowski's pop-up kickoffs though that forced teams to return them (see the Super Bowl) Raiders moving to Las Vegas most likely on Monday Goodell fired off a cunty letter to the Oakland mayor I thought it didn't make sense for Oakland to have a team when there's San Francisco (a city I love) but I've never been to Oakland, and I guess that's one of the biggest growing populations. I just thought the Raiders should move to LA, but it makes more sense for them to stay there. So Las Vegas will now have an NFL and NHL team.
  22. Michael Lombardi KILLED Jabril Peppers on the Ringer's GM Street podcast yesterday. Made a convincing case. Yeah, not good. Should be interesting to see where he goes. But doesn't view him as even close to a 1st round pick. Even Albert Breer was pointing out he's the 5th or 6th best player on Michigan's D (Taco, Wormley, Jourdan Lewis, Delano Hill, etc) Both pointed out that he's probably better on offense because his best skill is being a returner or with the ball in his hands.
  23. saw this on the Pats fan forum via a Seahawks draft blog that's supposed to be good http://seahawksdraftblog.com/t-j-watt-and-tyus-bowser-are-pretty-special ^TJ Watt and Tyus Bowser are special athletes: in the realm of Khalil Mack Jordan Willis looks like he might be up there. I already liked Bowser, but Watt is now on my radar if the Pats do trade Butler/Jimmy. TJ is more like Clay Matthews than JJ. Might not be his brother, but there's something special there. Gareon Conley (CB) and Tyus Bowser/TJ Watt/Jordan Willis are favorite targets if the Pats get 1st & 2nd round round picks. I don't know what's going to happen. More it goes on, I don't like the idea of giving up Jimmy/Butler, but it's a $ issue. If Brady stays, you can't pay a backup $20M+ per year (and Belichick WOULD take the guy who can play 10+ years over a 40-year old QB who has 2-3 years left) and Butler would command $10-$15M/year. I think people on the Pats fan forum draft board were looking at TJ Watt at 32 and thinking he could potentially be a solid Ninkovich replacement on down the line. ^posting this mainly for DK, but people on the Pats board LOVE Mack Hollins as a core special teams guy in the late rounds. The downside though is I think he has arthritis. Pats might also be favorites to get Darrelle Revis and just put him in at slot CB. They said his tape isn't as horrible as it looks, but he just simply and obviously cannot cover #1 WR's because he'll give up 40+ yard plays. Would be funny to see him play for the Pats while he's getting paid by the Jets.
  24. I have only watched the first one so far and I loved it. Excited to watch the 2nd tonight.
  25. Jim Norton's special was okay. Has its laugh-out loud moments, some of which I've heard before. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ..... Dave Chappelle ho-ly shit 1st special is definitely better than the 2nd: I like the directing of it too, felt a lot like 'For What It's Worth', in a way, and in the way he's able to move (like a tighter version of Jerrod Carmichael's recent special...except in a room with ACTUAL fucking people and not people who dressed up like they were at an opera) I saw him live in September or October 2015 in Providence (horrible fucking date, I think I went over what a disaster it was)....but yeah, the same moment that killed is captured so well live where he goes through American history in a serious way....and then perfectly sets it up just to finally talk about Bill Cosby. Yeah, Dave is still effortlessly funny/great and as good as it gets. Best special I've seen this year. Neal Brennan's made me laugh, but it didn't flow so well with the 3 mic idea and it had awkward moments that were obviously meant to be: it was a stage play. Chappelle's was natural, which I dig more. It's a bummer that Chappelle was gone for over a decade, but I'm glad he's back. Still has it. Glad there's going to be more coming out. Netflix is fucking killing it with stand-up specials and it's so awesome. A killer one seems to be coming out each and every week. Nobody but Netflix really knows how they afford it or what the numbers are. But Chappelle got a $60 million dollar deal.
  26. Do you want to be Mr. Phil?
