  1. hi. bye.
  2. good to see this place this place is still here. don't think i've been on in like 6 months.
  3. Yeah Lonerism is amazing. Haven't stopped listening since it released. But yeah, back to Timberlake. I see "Tunnel Vision," "That Girl" and "Mirrors" all being huge hits.
  4. yeah this shit bangs. production on this is just ridiculous. i agree with mcgomer that let the groove in should have been left off though.
  5. MLB

As a Cubs fan, I'm starting to get excited about this season, albeit with a lot skepticism. The pitching really looks good and they're a bullpen lefty away (JP Howell possibly?) from having solid pitching all around. The big question mark is the run production. Samardzija/Garza/Jackson/Wood/Feldman or Villanueva at the beginning of the season could make up a very surprising rotation. Keep in mind Scott Baker should be ready to go a month into the season as well.
  6. Let me also say from just grazing fellside and cassidy's posts that I feel with America we have a unique situation where it's more about how fucked up we are as a society than guns. I can't speak for everyone, but it seems like we don't have near a sense of community anymore. Look around when you're at a stop light and look at the drivers. Almost every time the majority of people are their phones, not aware of what's going on around them. Smartphones have in some ways ruined the socializing process if you ask me. This country also uses 60% of the WORLD's psychiatric drugs. That's just a little fucked up and a very unique situation for a country if you ask me. We're a country full of first world problems. Not to mention there are countries that have similar gun laws and don't have the problems we do. I just think these are issues we should attack before gun control, as it is a less controversial way to help solve the problem and we may actually get something done in Congress (I know, I'm skeptical too lol). Yes there are probably some tweaks we can make to gun control, but unfortunately it's unrealistic due to our divided Congress. I will NOT ever say we should have no guns in this country, however.
  7. I haven't had the time to read through all of your guys' arguments from my post thoroughly (just got off work), but let me just say MOST people here are making valid arguments, but there are a few *cough*postabovemeandaaron*cough* that aren't and letting emotion take over. although fellside, i have to say it's a little ironic you would say that after what you stated in your initial post in this thread. i understand what you're saying, but that was my point. people have been going a little over the top on here because children were involved in this particular shooting.
  8. People forget that our founding fathers put the 2nd amendment in the Bill of Rights to protect us from the government turning against their own people, such as the British during the American Revolution. That, along with fact our government's best way to solve foreign policy issues today is violence, along with the fact that I just don't trust the people running the country anymore, the day guns get banned in this country is the day I leave. And this is coming from someone who has no interest in owning a gun. Anyone remember the Oslo, Norway mass shooting? I find it interesting that the biggest mass shooting in history was in a country with very strict gun control laws. Some of you pro-gun control guys (no naming names) are definitely letting emotion get in the way of your arguments, because of the fact of what just happened is so sickening. I'm not saying you're entirely wrong, just that your arguments are not framed on the basis of the facts entirely. I think one thing we can all agree on is that mental health awareness need to be focused on more in the US. It's sad the media immediately made this into a plee for more gun control, something controversial to many and will be tough to get legislation passed. Meanwhile, the mass media hasn't even mentioned mental health as the problem. One last thought: I think in this particular case this happened mostly because of the shooter's mother. She owned the guns while also having knowledge of her son's mental problems. She divorced her husband, and did not work due to alimony, and constantly insulted the son's father in front of him. She pulled her son out of school during his teens because she didn't like the "plans" they had for him, and instead forced him to be homeschooled. That and keep in mind he killed his mother first. Also makes you wonder if he would have just ended it there he didn't know there the media would cover this story for weeks, as they always do when it comes to mass shootings..

Loria is probably the worst sports owner ever, other than maybe when Matt Millen was in charge of the Lions. But then again he was just CEO, so yeah Loria takes the cake. Ruined the Expos and now the Marlins.
