  1. No!!!
  2. That graphic fucking depresses me! And I choose to believe that Belichick open mouth kissed Trump on the field.
  3. “So I go to the Patriots game last year,” Trump said. “I’m on the sidelines with Kraft. He’s got Les Moonves right here. He’s got a lot of different people. And Belichick comes over in his Patriots sweatshirt and the hoodie and the whole thing. He hugs me, and he kisses me, and he said: ‘I love you. You’re the greatest.’”
  5. Mayhew did a decent job of getting actual talent on the Lions, but it was impossible to do worse than Millen (who he worked under before getting promoted) so it is tough to get too excited over that. He was reallllyyyyyy hot and cold in the draft, Lions had entire classes which were busts but also found some decent talent outside of the first round (the running joke among fans was any pick he made in round two was going to be a bust). I would say he was a middle of the road drafter. Early on he did some good trading for players who didn't fit in with other teams, but seemed to get away from that after the first couple years. He did do a lot to undo his talent infusion though. They absolutely bungled the Suh situation by restructuring his deal over and over and making it basically impossible to franchise tag him. They drafted a tight end with the dropsies and inconsistent play instead of Aaron Donald, and then proceeded to lose Suh and Fairley in the same offseason which was obvious would happen. Basically he was like the GM version of Jim Schwartz, came in after 0-16 and did a good enough job to drag the Lions out of embarrassment territory and help set them up for the future, but it was obvious that change needed to be made if the Lions were going to take the next step to being in the upper half of the league. Overall I would say you should feel neutral, he wasn't the worst and he wasn't the best... I would imagine he wouldn't have a ton of power so at least he has experience with things which would be good with a new GM I would imagine. He seems to be respected in football so that also will help.
  6. Ol Tom didn't have to even shit on Trump, but him responding with “And what’s that? I haven’t paid much attention to what’s going on” is such a horse shit response, show some fucking empathy you butt chinned coward.
  7. I would buy his jersey with the biggest sleeves ever seen if he did that
  8. If they fix the line do you think Bradford will throw farther than a yard downfield?
  9. Just wanted to stop by and say fuck tom brady
  10. It wasn't known that Millen was a doofus until he destroyed the Lions, he was a pretty good broadcaster and well respected around football. They just gave him too much control and too much time even when it was obvious he had no clue what he was doing. I hope it works out for you, but I'm surprised how you're looking at this whole thing from a purely positive angle, especially since the same owner group is still calling the shots and it is obvious they have no clue what they're doing.
  12. The big injuries were on the offensive line, center and right tackle were out which forced a rookie in at center, shitty ass Laken Tomlinson at LG, and an undrafted guy at right tackle who doesn't have any business starting for any time. So that meant no running game and Stafford had no time. When they ruled both the C and RT out before the game I knew the Lions were toast. Not that their running game was too hot anyways, with Abdullah out basically all year and Riddick done a few weeks ago (man that hurt, he completely changes how the defenses have to defend especially in the red zone). On defense they were missing their top three nickel backs, but it isn't like any of them were any good to begin with so it is tough to get too upset over that though the guy they grabbed from their practice squad was even worse than the other three. A defensive end they got on waivers from the Browns who looked good moving into 4-3 end instead of 3-4 LB he was in Cleveland got put on IR, he played 5 games with the Lions and was third on the team in sacks . The defense just has a huge talent problem overall. Ansah was hurt all year, same with Levy who looks like a shell of his former self, Slay was battling injuries...and those are the three most talent pieces. Quin was the only good player who stayed healthy on the d. One of our DE and our middle linebacker both started every game and were both the second worst graded PFF players at their positions so that just tells you the talent level. In the draft they really need DE, DT, LB, S, nickel CB, and I wouldn't mind project picks on offense either. New GM has lots of work to do but at least he showed with the last draft and some free agent moves that he knows what he's doing (or lucked into a good offseason).
  13. Well that really sucked. Lions did not deserve to win that game at all and were obviously the worst team on the field, but man that reffing was something. If the NFL doesn't fix their officiating overall, it isn't just against the Lions and there is no conspiracy (lol at whoever thinks that, as if someone needs to undermine the fucking Lions), then I can't see myself being very into the NFL anymore. It just really detracts from the game, and with soooo many boring ass games this year along with the no fun rules I just can't be bothered to care much. I've already sworn off spending any nfl related money until the Lions win a playoff game, so that means I will never spend another dollar on the nfl again. Sports are the worst.
  14. The video of Floyd's arrest was fucking wild. He's pretty lucky the cops weren't super fucking paranoid with the way he couldn't follow their instructions.
