the deep purple ep was pretty shit outside of purple swag, but i loved LLA.

i've heard nothing else from this kid except this song (with a sample that everyone and their mother has used) but i dig it.

oooo nice, that homie i posted above you toured with devin a few times, theyre from the same city

Cool. The show was in Dallas, and Devin being from Houston, it was sold out.

When they lifted the screen for him to come out a huge cloud of weed covered the first few rows, and the entire venue was filled with smoke throughout his entire set. I had never seen anything like it.

He was spot on though, and the whole place was singing along with his older stuff.

i was asked to post more new shit so...

World's Fair are a couple friends of mine from Queens: Cody B Ware, Jeff Donna, Prince SAMO and Children Of The Night (the sub crew of Nasty Nigel, Remy Banks and Lansky Jones). Cody's been all over the country with Irepress, Bad Rabbits and Passion Pit. Children of the Night is opening for Nas in London next month. I'm stoked for my boys right now. Peep my cameos in the first two vids and look out for World's Famous (I did some shit for that).

I can see that. I just never like chick rappers so she was a bit surprising.

I'm a big fan of the Raider Klan.. i think they are gonna blow up. They have this dope throw back feeling. I guess if you like Three 6 Mafia and stuff like that you'll like this.. maybe.

as far as female rappers, i personally really like Nicki Minaj. her last album is awesome. i love that it pretty much starts out with like 8 rap songs, while her last album seemed to be more of a pop album ( i like both and am fully aware that the last half of nicki's newer album is a pop album, i still dig that part). he goes pretty fucking crazy on some of the rap songs, which is awesome.

Hey, so I could use a few recommendations, boredies. Think of this as a last.fm-like experiment on a more personal level.

Here are my favorite hip-hop albums by my favorite MCs, Producers, or groups:

Nas - Illmatic

A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders

The Roots - Do You Want More?! / Game Theory / How I Got Over

People Under the Stairs - O.S.T.

Nujabes - Modal Soul

There's a bunch more that I like, but these are the albums that I absolutely couldn't do without. Without them, I'd be lesser the fan of hip-hop in general.

Any recommendations of this quality?
