Pretty meh on last night's Strikeforce, honestly.

It went as expected. Tyron Woodley was the biggest winner, honestly. One more fight and he'll get a shot at Diaz. Wouldn't be surprised if they gave it to him right away though, who else it there for Diaz?

I don't care about Thomson-Melendez III, and Melendez saying JZ was top 5 in the world was hilarious.

Don't care about seeeing Diaz-Noons III either. I do love seeing Nick Diaz bloodied though, haha.

Hendo-Babalu interview was rough. Couldn't be bothered to pay attention.

Coenen-Kaufman was good, loved seeing Coenen pull of the sub.

Thomson was the one saying he was top 5. Diaz is scum as a person, as a fighter hes ok i think he went to fight in the UFC again, he would get worked by GSP and the top guys there. SF has no depth in any division the only thing they have working is the deal with DREAM and they dont even use that to its advantage. i would be signing FW BW guys like crazy and putting them up against the Dream fighters those would be shows.

does anyone really care about Hendo-Babalu? Hendo will probably take him down and pound him out.

Goddamnit.

Steve Cantwell suffered another setback to his promising career, after a knee injury suffered during his last days of training has knocked him out of UFC 120.

MMA Fighting confirmed the news with UFC sources.

What a bummer, I was really looking forward to that fight with Nedkov.

I'm starting to like Overeem.

Did he do steroids? Obviously. I couldn't stand him for a while after that.

But now he's training. A lot. And hard. And he's fighting everyone that comes his way. And he's winning convincingly every time. Without putting weight into consideration, Overeem is in my opinion the most powerful striker in MMA today. Sure, he'd probably get tooled by the wrestling guys in the UFC, but he's damn fun to watch. I'd still love to see Fedor beat him, but that doesn't change that I'm a fan of the guy.

edit :: and I also don't know that Fedor is capable of beating him now-a-days. I'd love to think that he is, but everyone's gotta fall eventually. Even the emp.

After Kos's team won their first fight (4th fight) they went overboard on the cheering and banged on the wall connecting the locker rooms...

GSP looks pissed.

GSP is going to murder Kos. I really think he'll finish him somehow. I hope he meant what he said at press conference last (this?) week... the next opponent that doesn't tap gets his limb broken.

As far as the REEM goes, people love to say hes one Roids but he has never tested positive, unlike Josh Barnett, and it took him a little over 3 years to get where he was, he even slimmed down a little and is fighting around 250. the issue people have with his is that he didn't defend his SF title in 2 years, but he had a deal with other companies to fight and for those 2 years he was unsigned by SF and that's there fault not his. as far as him vs Fedor you can never count out Fedor just look at the Randelplex where everyone thought he was done and turned around a tapped him out. standing up Fedor probably would lose even though he has a chin like stone, and as far as Reem ducking him. He's been trying for fight Fedor for about 2 years now and M1 claimed all these reasons why he didn't deserve to fight him and then once he beat Grim, Fedor loses, and Reem Signed to K1. Then M1 challenges him and says hes ducking him using the K1 as his excuse, even though he signed to do it before the challenge was thrown out there. plus everyone flipped out on him fighting Grim even though before the fedor fight he was the #1 contender and Fedor had his contract dispute at the time so naturally it fit. as of right now in SF Werdum is the #1 contender now and should get his shot before Fedor.

Reem has probably the best striking out of any HW. No one in the division is as diverse of a striker or as crisp. Reem has shown in the past that he has good TDD, but also he is comfey on the ground cause hes no slouch there either.

the fight i would love to see is Reem vs Prime Cro Cop that would have been a war.

i hope Kampmann puts pillow hands away. i mean if his sprawl and TDD is as good as people say Sheilds is in trouble. if he tries to stand with him Kampmann i think will put him to sleep. his only hope is to take him down and grind out a decision. I'm torn on Brock when he came in i thought he was handed a Title giftwraped for him, but after Carwin and if he beats Cain i cant hate on the guy. as far as people think Carwin won in the first round put his lights out and their wont be this talk. New Years day card is looking SICK so far the fights listed are

Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard

Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson

Clay Guida vs. Takanori Gomi

Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann

Nate Diaz vs. Don Hyun Kim

Brandon Vera vs. Thiago Silva

Made it from Valencia to The Block at Orange in 50ish minutes, stood around Dave & Buster's for about a half hour and then ran all the way across the mall to the Nike store at 12:40am, met Dana White and got two tickets for UFC 121 tomorrow night.

FUCKING STOKED. He is easily the coolest fucking dude. Smile on his face the whole time, making eye contact, slapping hands, hugging and talking to everyone. There were easily 300 people around him by the time I got my tickets & picture with him. He only had 150 tickets too. Shit was INTENSE.

That's awesome, massively jealous. I follow Dana White on twitter, he's always doing these hunt4ufc things, really cool idea.

Also I cannot wait for these fights. It could be such a epic event. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Wish I lived in America sometimes however. Its a fucking ball ache staying up till 3am for the card to kick off.
